Is Medical Attention Required If A Toddler Swallows Roach Bait Despite No Symptoms?

My 2 yr old girl was holding a roach bait in her hand last night. I am not sure whether she put it in her mouth or not. It is almost 12 hrs now and she is absolutely normal. No symptoms. I hope she is safe and there is nothing to worry about now as 12 hrs have already passed.

Hello
Thanks for writing to us.

Since it has already been 12 hours and she has not shown symptom so far.
I would advise you to keep an eye on her stool. The Roach bait can come out with stool on its own.
However getting checked with your physician is a great idea. He can suggest an X ray ot Ultrasound.

I hope this helped you

Thanks
Dr. Tripat Mehta
