Is Medication Advisable For Low TSH And Normal T3 Levels?
Hi I recently had blood work done my tsh levels were low 0.1505 and my T4 free 0.99 my doctor thinks it is hyperthyroid which I have all the symptoms he checked my T3 levels but they were normal please help now he doesn't want to treat me for the thyroid but I sure that's the problem tired of dealing with it
1. The normal range w.r.t. TSH level is 0.4 - 4.0 mIU/L [but may vary from laboratory to laboratory] and going by the values [low TSH and normal T3] which are provided you are suffering from subclinical hyperthyroidism [SCH] and instead of your attending doctor, the case should be screened preferably by an Endocrinologist.
2. recent studies have suggested that if not treated promptly SCH may accelerate the development of osteoporosis, particularly in postmenopausal women. [check with Bone mineral density [BMD]
3. you need proper counseling to avoid future confusion so that you can complete proper follow-ups and treatment.
