Is Migraine, Vertigo And Increased Heart Rate Normal After Increasing Gabapentine Dosage?
I am a 32 year old male. I am on gabapentine for my fibromialgia. I recently had a dosage increase to 400 mg more a day than I was taking. I am having a severe migraine, vertigo, light sensitive, and my heart rate at rest is at 115 a minute right now. My normal heart rate is 60-70. Should I be worried? I cannot stand up without almost immediately collapsing.
what is the daily dose you have been taking and for how long? How much is the total dose intake in a day and have you increased on your own? Gabapentin intake regarding dose should be titrated(decreased/increased) in a systematic manner and not abruptly. headache, palpitations and vertigo may occur as side effect of this medicine. If your heart rate is increasing, please consult your treating physician.
