Hi,I am Raju.A.T (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is Mild Headache Along With Dizziness Due To An Inner Ear Problem?
Recently, I feel fine in the mornings. As the day progresses, I get a slight headache, feel slightly dizzy when I stand, and a bit off balance when I walk. About a year ago, my right ear felt a pop and now I m about 95% deaf in that ear. Could this be a sign of an inner ear issue? Could this be caused from insufficient sleep?
I understand your concern. Vertigo maybe caused by inflammation within the inner ear. Some advice that I can give you are:
1) Take Betahistine prescription by your doctor for the dizziness.
2) Vitamin D supplementation can help.
3) Avoid substances that can affect circulation, including caffeine, tobacco, or alcohol.
4) Drink plenty of fluids.
Hope my answer was helpful. If you have any other questions, Ill be glad to help.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
