Is Mild Pain After Draining Hematoma Post Hysterectomy A Cause For Concern?

I had a full hyster on 4/17. Had to have blood transfusion after, hemo very low. Developed a grapefruit size hematoma in my pelvic cavity afyer surgery and had it drained about 2 weeks ago. Still have mild and at times moderate pain there, feels like I can feel something in there. I am sometimes very uncomfortable. Is this normal?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Pain after 15-20 days of surgery is unlikely and I will recommend you to consult your gynecologist for the same. You can take OTC anti inflammatory medication twice a day for 3-5 days to decrease the pain.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhanu Partap, Cardiologist
