Hi My husband and I have been ttc baby no2 for just over two years now! I don't want to get my hopes up but I feel I may have experienced implantation bleeding today! My cycles are normally between 28-30 days and today I'm on day 30 Around 5 hours ago when wiping I noticed pink almost watery blood on the tissue naturally I was disheartened but have had absolutely nothing more since (about 6 hours ago) By taking home ovulation test sticks I had a surge on cycle day 14. Is it too late in the cycle for this to have been implantation bleeding? I read implantation occurs 6-12 days after conception! And I'm now on 15dpo! Just a bit confused!
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern... No mild spotting you experienced should not be implantation bleeding as you are 15 days post your ovulation date. Implantation bleeding happens approximately 7-10 days after getting conceived. This is approximately a week prior to your expected periods(21-24th day of period). Chances of implantation bleeding in a woman of normal 28 day cycle, occuring on 30th day is almost negligible. The bleeding or mild spotting you are having must be start of your periods. This bleeding would soon become heavy like a period. However if bleeding remains light as spotting you could think it as implantation bleeding & you could do a pregnancy test as well. Such a light spotting could also be sign of worry (as it may be a sign of cervix problem, uterine polyps & other abnormalities)if it persists or recoccurs.
