Is Missed Period And Dizziness Sign Of Pregnancy?

I was on Depo provera since last year May after I delivered. Was due for a shot in Feb this year but didn't opt for it coz we are now trying to conceive. Been spotting all this time till June this year when my gynecologist put me on Primolut N to bring regular periods. My periods came on 2nd July, afew days after finishing the primolut dose. I was due for my next period on 29/30 July but didnt come. Around 27th July I had light brown discharge. I have been having sore breasts, slight neausea in the morning when I don't eat for the whole of July. When I missed my periods, I had a headache with slight dizziness. However, pregnancy test 11 days after missing my period came out negative.



Question: Is it possible that primolute N did not regularise my periods and that these symptoms are just a coincidence?

Hallow Dear,

One course of Primolute N would not regularize the periods, it will just get withdrawal bleeding.

All the symptoms like brown discharge, soreness in the breasts, nausea, headache you are having could be after effects of Primolute N which is a Progestational medicine. Of course, though not brown spotting, rest of the symptoms can be due to pregnancy also.

Since your pregnancy test even 11 days after missed period is negative, you are not pregnant.

To me, all your symptoms appear to be due to Progestational preparation. Some salt restriction in the diet may alleviate some of these symptoms to some extent.

Now to regularize your menses, you may take some oral birth control pills for 3 cycles, with the advice of your Gynaecologist.
