Hallow Madam,
I have gone through your history.
Your problem seems to be with control of blood sugar. Blood sugar whether very high or low does cause
dizziness. You have diabetes, hence Insulin was prescribed to you. However, with the dose of insulin you were receiving, you have landed in
low blood sugar level, which have caused dizziness.
Now your Insulin is discontinued. Please monitor your blood sugar with the glucometer. If you do not have it with you, buy one. You may have again landed in high blood sugar again. Again if your blood sugar is going beyond the control levels, you will have to start either Insulin on lower dosage or oral
antidiabetic tablets. This decision should be taken by doctors only. Keep your fasting blood sugar level under 110 mg % and post prandial (2 hours after meals) under 140 mg%. Unless you monitor your blood sugar level, it will not be possible for you to control sugar.
Diabetes should not be taken lightly during pregnancy.
Uncontrolled diabetes may lead to some
complications of pregnancy like any infection, which includes urinary infection also,
high blood pressure, extra water around the baby etc. Diabetes may affect the maturity of the baby and may lead to premature delivery also. It is not possible to enlist all the complications of diabetes during pregnancy here, however, please take the message that diabetes needs to be kept in control during pregnancy.
Thyroid dysfunction many a times makes the diabetes control difficult and also causes dizziness. So please get blood examined for T3, T4 and TSH. The TSH levels should be between 0.3 to 3 mIU/L. Accordingly you may have to start the Thyroid management.
Please report all this to your Obstetrician and get the dysfunctions in control.
I hope you will take the prompt actions.
