Is Missing Three Birth Control Pills Decrease The Efficacy Of Its Effectiveness?
Hey doctor. So my girlfriend and I had unprotected sex last Tuesday. Now she s on birth control and has been on it for a few months. She started her new pack last Sunday so she had taken the pill up to the first week, third day when we had unprotected sex. The thing is that she forgot to take her pills from last Friday to Sunday. Should I be worried about possible pregnancy?
Surely this cycle should be treated as unprotected. The balance of the pills should be taken as usual, however, condoms, should be used. Soon after the contact, emergency contraception could have been taken to prevent any mishap ! Right now I don't know how many days have gone by so meet up with a Gynae if she has missed her period, withing 4 to 5 days tablets can be taken to regularise the cycles.
