Is Muscle Twitching Causes By Low BP?

I m in great shape (fitness competitor). I ve been training for about 5 months for shows. My blood pressure keeps getting lower everytime I check it. Tonight it was 95/64. I have been getting a lot of muscle twitching lately also. Wasn t sure if that was connected to the low blood pressure? Just don t know if my blood pressure is too low?

Hi, thank you for asking healthcare magic
I understand your concerns

Nothing to worry about. Exercise has a tendency of reducing blood pressure. Your blood pressure value is within the normal range. Most often, low blood pressure would be associated with symptoms like dizziness, fatigue, fainting, awareness of heart beat (palpitation). These symptom tend to worsen with you stand up.

This type of muscle twitching is often described as benign and non-pathological and are common and normal. They often occur in tense, anxious, or overtired people.

However, muscle twitching may also indicate a severe neurologic disorder. In case it persists, I would suggest you see a doctor for proper assessment and management.

I hope that helps
I wish you good health
