Is My LFT Report Of ALT(SGPT)-99 And AST(SGOT)-55 A Cause For Concern?

Dear Sir, Good morning, I am from Bangladesh. I have tested liver function one month ago from APOLLO HOSPITALS DHAKA and found ALT (SGPT)- 99, AST (SGOT)- 55, Biluribine (Total)- 1.6. Now I am feeling much more tension and want to go India for further investigation. It would be highly appreciated if you kindly give suggestion about the risky and future steps.Sincerely,Md. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
The following things can be inferred based on the Liver Function Test report you have posted.
1. Bilirubin level of 1.6 is marginally high.
2. Liver enzymes ALT shows 4 fold increase than normal and AST shows 2 fold increase than normal.
The report indicates that there is certainly derangement in liver function which needs to be investigated and treated.
You may further require ultrasound abdomen to know what could be the cause for liver dysfunction.
Kindly consult Physician for further clinical evaluation and management.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
