Hi, My daughter is 6.5 months old & from last sunday she is suffering from cough & cold. The doctor gave us cold act drops & even after that she had some cough & runny nose. Now my pediatrician says she has wheezing & needs to nebulised with saline & duolin solution for 3-4 days in the night. We have not yet tried it,But from yesterday night her cough has come down & she is also feeding well.I feel she has started to recover,Should I go ahed with nebulisation or leave it.

Is Nebulisation Required For Cough In A Child?
Hi, Actually, nebulization is not advisable without oxygen source and you cannot give it at home. Rather metered dose inhalers are a better option. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Sumanth Amperayani, Pediatrician, Pulmonology
