I have a diagnosis of status migrainosus and take 2 preventive medications. I have complicated migraine with a variety of seizure-like episodes. Before diagnosis, I had problems with sudden, involuntary eye movements usually associated with seizure-like episodes. I have been on meds for 5 years without any eye problems, except chronic dry eyes. I started taking Xiidra a week ago today and find it keeps my eyes irritated all day. This past Thursday I had a migraine (Hurricane induced) with a sudden episode of my eyes crossing, blurred vision and buckled knees. It passed in about 2 seconds. Today I woke up with extreme vertigo and could not get out of bed for several hours. I checked my eyes by trying to follow my finger moving across my line of sight. My left eye does not cooperate and seems to be jerking back to the middle while my right eye is at the inner corner. Is this from the Xiidra? Could it have caused some inner ear irritation? Or does this sound like a migraine with seizure-like episode? Do I call my opthamologist, my internist, or my neurologist?
