General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
The difference between two EDDs could be because of late ovulation &late conception (probably due to irregular periods).
A normal delivery needs good amniotic fluid in the uterus , optimum development of fetus & normal proportion of fetal head & pelvic dimensions (estimated by pelvimetry, if the treating doctor feels it needful).
On your present state, you would be treated for improving amniotic fluid in uterus,®ular observations for fetal developments would be done to confirm fetal safety.
Considering your past history it's advisable to go for a planned cesarean section rather than waiting for normal delivery.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
