Is Normal Pregnancy And Delivery Possible After Chemotherapy?

Hi Doctor, my girlfriend had Colon cancer and the full Chemotherapy treatment and now 6 months on we had unprotected sex and she has missed her period and thinks she might be pregnant. The specialists said the treatment would make her infertile. Can you please explain what her chances are and how normal the birth may be. Much appreciated. zee

Hello, infertility commonly occurs after chemotherapy but it is not a dictum and thus can definitely get pregnant but will be very prone to abortion and preterm labour.
