Is Numbness In The Ball Of The Foot Indicative Of Diabetes?

My feet bottoms at ball of foot feel kind of thick, stiff and slightly numb? Especially at night when sitting in lounge chair. I am a runner but have only been running about 2X week approx 3-4 miles. Doesn t effect my running but sometimes it does feel tingly when walking or running. Hope it s not serious like diabetes. Thx Vince
