Is Numbness In The Knee Normal After A Fall?

Hello, this past Sunday I fell on my right knee and it hurt a lot but the following day the pain had lessen and I could walk fine. I ve put a lot of arnica and that has helped a lot but I ve notice that my knee is numb all around and now I m wondering if that is why I m not feeling any pain. Is this normal? Like I said, I can walk and bend my knee but I can t lean it against anything...! Thank you in advance for your advice.

Hello,

Pain and swelling on knee could be due to inflammation and fluid collection around knee joint. I suggest you to consult an orthopedist for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus management.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
