Is Only Medication Is Sufficient To Prevent A Second Heart Attack?

Please type your query here... hello , my father had heart attack 15 days back , he has thrombolised with in 1 1/2 hr . he has no symptoms .he is taking medicines . Plz tell me medication is sufficient for him to prevent further attack or angiography is requied.

Hi,
Usually angioplasty is required after thrombolysis, because ther is some risk that the artery can be blocked again during 6 months.
Anyway he should take the medications independent the fact that angioplasty is done or not.
