Is Onset Of Periods Followed By Brown And Red Discharge And Mild Cramps After Being On Implanon Normal?
Hi i'm 20 years and I got implanon in August of 2011 and haven't had a period since but in late 2013 my period came ! Does that mean its not working anymore ? BUT that's not my only problem last week Friday I started spotting and I still am and its brown and dark red with mild cramps ! I don't know what's going on with my body but i'm scared . HELP PLEASE !

Your Implanon should be good through August 2014 ( three years). However that does not mean that you won't have some periods or irregular bleeding even after two years of no periods. This doesn't mean that the Implanon is not working. It is a very effective method of birth control.
