Is Over Feeding Of Dexolac Harmful For A Baby?

I am mother of one month baby my breast nipple become wound so i cant give him brest milk so ifeed dexolac to him.But after feeding dexolac and she will urinating in a minute.Then she want milk again. I feed more than dexolac in a day. is there any problem to him? Hi, can I answer your health question? Please type your question here...

Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Anything in excess is bad for anyone. Please check if you are actually guvving more than required amount of dexolac. As far as urination is concerned, neonates urinates a lot, so it may not have any co relation. quite possibly he is leaving feed midway as you take him for change. and because he is not full he accepts new feed. So, if he urinates dont stop feeding till he is full and burped. with time frequency of urination will reduce. If he is gaining weight, sleeping well, passing urine and motion regularly.
