Is Overdose Of Calpol,life Threatening?
I'm in a real state, my husband gave our 8 year old daughter 10ml of calpol, we in a rush to go out & she still complaining of headache an hour after the calpol so I grabbed what I though was the bottle of kids nurofen & gave her the max dose of 20ml, just to realise that I've given her more calpol - a double dose, what should I do?? Help, have I put her life at risk, help please.

Paracetamol that is calpol can be toxic if given in overdose. But usually toxicity occurs when it is given in ten times the routine dose. But in certain children it may produce liver toxicity at a lower dose also. At present you need not worry. If you see some symptoms like vomiting reduced appetite or lethargy consult the doctor.
