My wife appears to have gout, possibly in her elbow and one of her hands. both areas are inflamed, very tender to the touch and swollen, but she is not having the burning sensation. She has had flare ups of gout and has had doctor s diagnose and confirm it has been gout .She has been recently hospitalized for dehydration and malnutrition, as well as suffering a concussion from a fall, in which she had surgery to drain fluid from her brain. She is recovering slowly, but it appears gout is now active in her right hand/wrist and left elbow. She has prescribed medication to treat the gout but we are uncertain if she needs to take it. We will try to consult her G.P. on monday 7/11/2016, but wre hoping for advise before then.My wife is 62 years old Thank You
