Is Pain And Swelling Around The Neck A Cause For Concern?

Hi my name is Lisa I just went on a routine check up and noticed that on my left side of my neck I have a swollen gland( that whole side is swollen actually) hurts when I swallow and I occasionally feel pain, I have been feeling more tired lately. Should I really concerned and rush to get tested..I m just nervous it could be thyroid cancer.

any abnormal swelling should be investigated
please visit your GP and get it examined at least
if it is felt further examination is needed the GP will suggest if it is nothing to worry you will be told so
