Is Pain Around Eye A Sign Of Sinusitis?

Hello, I have been experiencing pain in what seems like it s behind my right eye. I ve noticed this pain become more prominent in the past few months. I get migraines occasionally and headaches almost every day. I have been without relief for years when it comes to headaches. I have had a normal CT scan of my brain and sinuses done. I ve seen an ophthalmologist and was told my eyes are healthy. I ve also been on Allegra and Flonase for 3 weeks with no relief. This eye pain is very painful most days and I m running out of possible solutions. I have been told by several doctors that my sinuses in my nose and frontal lobe are swollen shut but the CT scan was normal. Could my eye pain be referred from my sinuses? Or maybe something else? I can t keep taking medication to help my pain, it doesn t work.

The pain behind the eyes is a characteristic feature of migraine. Nothing to be panic, consult a good neurophysician and get it evaluated. At the same time even sinusitis can also cause pain in the head and infraorbital region(below the eyes). So you need to consult a good ENT surgeon and take an opinion. Mean while you can continue the same medicines.
