Is Pain In Back Of Head And Swollen Lymph Nodes After Dying The Hair A Cause For Concern?
I dyed my hair over a week ago, an immediately I had this severe pain in the back of my head and noticed my lymph nodes were swollen in my head and behind my right ear... i also have lose my appetite maybe from worrying causing weight loss. I have been itchy all over..My doctor didnt think I need biopsy... should i be concerned??
Do not use dyes that cause you such symptoms. You are sensitive to the dye and are suffering from allergy. In case of hair dye allergy symptoms you should wash your hair as early as you can. Wash the dye off. Since you are sensitive to chemical dye's you are suggested to use herbal dye's like henna. For relief you can take antihistamines, one SOS when needed. Since you have swollen lymph nodes, you may need antibiotics and a course of antihistamines.
Get clinically examined by a dermatologist. Get treated at the earliest. You can apply coconut oil or aloe vera gel in the affected area for wound healing. Rinsing the hair with a solution of 2 percent hydrogen peroxide after washing the excess out is quite effective to ease the discomfort. Always do a sensitivity test before applying hair dye.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
