Is Pain In Lower Left Leg Suggestive Of Sepsis?

Went to the dr on Fri. Possible virus or sepsis. Since then, my lower left leg has been hurting much worse. Yesterday it felt like it was on fire and the skin was hot. Today it s cooler, but still hurts if it touches or rests on anything. Mid calf to just above foot

Hello,

If sepsis was a diagnosis, then, it should have been treated with emergency and you should have been hospitalized.

If not a sepsis, the pain on your lower leg with skin on fire and extremely hot, all these are indicating erysipelas, skin infection. Still you needed immediate medical care, and should have started prescription antibiotics. Sometimes, we do hospitalize patients for first days until infection is totally controlled.

Discuss immediately your your caring doctor or go to ER.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wish you fast recovery.

Regards,
