Is Pain In The Chest, Sternum And The Back Symptoms Of Heartburn?
i am wondering what heartburn feels like? I have had pain in the middle of my chest, over my sternum and can feel it into my back off an on for about an hour. No limb numbness/tingling, etc. I am not a nurse but a vet tech I realize vets are not the same but i have some basic medical knowledge so just trying to decide if i should go to the ER if this persists...right now it seems to be gone....

Your symptoms could be because of acute gastritis but angina or myocardial infarction should also be ruled out as pain is getting radiating to back. If you have any associated symptoms like palpitations, sweating, vomiting, breathlessness then consult your doctor immediately. Meanwhile take antacid and see for the relef of symptoms.
