Is Pain In The Shoulder Blade Due To A Pinched Nerve?

I have excruciating pain in my left shoulder blade for about 2 weeks. Was concerned it was my heart but I went to ER and had that checked. Pain is back today really severe. I did take a fall in February and landed on my back? Could I have a pinched nerve?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

* As per my clinical experience, there can be multiple possible reasons as ligament sprain, strain, tear, nerve compression, rotator cuff injury involving cartilage or so forth.
* In our clinic, I recommend an MRI of the shoulder for further diagnosis and management. Wish this information will clear your doubt.
