Is Painful And Burning Urination With Enlarged Prostate A Cause For Concern?
I am 45 years old male. I have enlarged prostate (grade -1) weighing about 30 gm for past one year. Recently I got my USG lower abdomen done, no further growth of the prostate gland was noted. For past two weeks I am having mild pain when I urinate at the tip of my penis, and I feel a slight burning sensation. But then it happens only once or twice, I don t feel any problem when I have a good pressure developed to urinate. Also sometimes I pass yellowish urine. What should I do?

There can be a number of explanations for your symptoms of burning urine and pain at the tip of your penis. With an enlarged prostate one possible explanation could be that you have a urinary tract infection. Another possibility might be that you have all renal stone.
If one of my patients had similar symptoms i will get a urine routine examination done to rule out any infection. Best wishes and good day to you.
