Is Painful And Swollen Back With Numb Leg Common After Vaginal Hysterectomy?
Hello. I am post op 5 weeks from a vaginal hysterectomy. uterus and cervix removed. I have been feeling great with exception of swelling in my abdomen area. Today something new is happening. Both lower sides of my back are painful even to touch and I m VERY swollen in my back as well. My left leg is also hurting like it wants to go numb. Should I go to the ER because its Saturday? Or is this normal. Help.

When was the procedure done? If the symptoms that you have described are immediately after the procedure, please get an X-ray of the back done just to see if there is any collection.
