Is Painful Urination Post Intercourse A Cause For Concern?
I would like to find out, my boyfriend and I had sex on Saturday after going out. By Sunday/Monday when urinsting had felt some discomfort at the clit area, sometimes does sting more than anything. Should I be worried? How long will this last for & what can I do to make it go back to normal
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Painful urination after sex is a normal symptom when the act is traumatic. This is always noticed after sex without enough fore-play.Fore-play helps the lady to secrete and lubricate the passage.Painful urination after sex could as well be caused by a UTI or an STI but it is too early to conclude. The pain you fee may go on for a few days but should not stay longer.I will suggest you try the following: -Avoid sex these days for the lesions to heal -Observe for other urinary signs like urgency, frequency and pain -Good genital hygiene -Subsequently, try fore-play before sex, if lubrication not enough, sex lubricants may be used. If the problem continues or other symptoms appear, you may see a Doctor for examination and infectious work-up. Hope this will help you Best regards
