Is Parenthood Possible For A Person With Azoospermia?
Hi doc.. My husband is said to be tested for semen analysis and in the report there is no sperm.. And said to be performed bioscopy but he is not agree with the treatment.. Does he azoospermia?? What should I do?? Can I get pregnant?? Please suggest some treatment so that I can carry on for my husband.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern... No being father is not possible for a person with azoospermia. You would not get pregnant after having sex with your husband diagnosed with azoospermia. First of all diagnosis should be made for cause of azoospermia. Biopsy is required for this. There could be no sperm production due to hormonal problems & due to defect in testis. In this you cannot get pregnant by your husband. IVF(in vitro fertilization) with use of other men sperm can be used in this case. In some cases sperm are produced but not ejaculated known as obstructive azoospermia. In this cases sperms can be taken from testis & injected inside your vagina. IVF can also be needed in some cases.
Refer to your physician Hope this information helps
