Is Passive Smoking Dangerous And Reason For Constricting In Throat ?

thank you! I work in an office where people smoke right out side the door to the building, when they come in they stink from smoke which causes my throat to close up. Is the smoke I am smelling just as dangerous as second hand smoke? Why does my throat constrict?

Hello!

I dont think you have to worry! the smoke is not as dangerous as second hand smoke!
The throat constriction may be due to some chemicals exhaled by the smokers, which you may be allergic to. i would recommend you use a mask or avoid contact with people who smoke.
If it is troubling you much, meet an allergy specialist, he will be able to help you better.
Thanks
