Is Period Occurrence Within 15 Days Normal While Using Meprate For PCOD?
hi doctor, i was diagnosed with bilateral polycystic ovaries during last month. My doctor suggested to take meprate for 5 days.once i started taking the tablet, the following week i got my periods and it lasted for 7 days. again within 15 days i got my periods. is this normal?
It is not normal to have your menses twice within 15days though not very uncommon in patients with PCOD. I will like that you treat this current vaginal bleeding as menses. Only seek medical attention should it become excessive, last longer than your normal menses or you have any other symptoms that are not commonly observed during your menses.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarification should need be. Dr. Ditah, MD.
