Is Persistent Cough A Side Effect Of Reclast Infusion?
I had a reclast infusion 2 monts ago. Day after I started in with a throat cough/ col. Cold went away in few weeks but the cough is still there, not as bad as at first, but still persistant. Does this sound like a side effect of the Reclast? If so , how long does it normally last, and lastly, how to treat the cough?
influenza like symptoms (including cough) are common after the infusion. They usually start within 3 days and may last for a couple of weeks and sometimes even more. You should be examined by your doctor to exclude more serious causes like a real respiratory tract infection which may require treatment.
If there's nothing to treat then you can use cough suppressants like butamirate or dextromethorphan. If the cough is not very severe, you should avoid using cough suppressants.
I hopeyou find my comments helpful! You can contact me again, if you'd like any clarifications or further information.
Kind Regards!
