I have been struggling with high fever since thursday night. I need to know when to be concerned. Been taking ibupro since onset and had a leftover zpak rx from an illness in december so I began taking last evening. Fever flux between 101 and 104. didnt realize this was a fee for service. Im not confortable with that thus decline assistance.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of persistent high fever which could be due to bacterial/viral infection. It is definitely a matter of concern as it seems that you have presence of infection in your body which might be due to underlying systemic pathology.
I would suggest you to
- Do tepid sponging for immediate relief as you having high degree fever.
- Avoid oily and sharp food. Drink plenty of fluids.
Visit general physician once and get it examined. You should get routine blood test done and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Normally it will take 5 - 7 days for viral fever to get recovered.
