Is Persistent Pain And Discomfort In Lower Abdomen A Symptom Of Appendicitis?

I have pain & discomfort in my lower abdomen, on the right side. It started about 2 days ago and is getting progressively worse, but is still a moderate pain. Hurts when I move, walk, stand, lay down. Not as bad when I m just sitting, then it s more of a dull ache. No vomiting or diarrhea, but have more gas than usual. Do you think it could be appendicitis?

Hello. Yes this could be appendicitis with what's known as a retrocecal appendix--the appendix is behind the cecum, the first part of the colon. In cases like that there may not be fever, nausea, or vomiting. You need to see a doctor right away for an exam and a ct scan of the abdomen
