Is Platelet Count Of 32000 A Cause For Concern While Having Dengue Fever?

my mother is suffering from dengue .now her fever is subside and platetes count is 32000.but she had developed itching..we r applying mositurizer but found no effect her doctor gave her allgra 180 mg but still she had itching after taking medication also she is not relieved ,what to do to control her icthing problem?

Hi,

This much platelet counts in dengue fever need daily blood counts monitoring and replacement is not indicated unless below 15000 or bleeding from any site. However, for itching Chlorpheneramine and topical Calamine lotions can be given. Serum bilirubin and urea levels should also be monitored.
