Is Posterior Tibial Tendonitis In Both Legs Curable?

I have posterior tibial tendonitis in both legs. I have been having pain for about 5 months. I also have ankle instability on the right and will be having a surgery in 2 weeks. I am very concerned about not being able to at some point even walk without pain. I am on disability for now. maybe for 3 months. I am a floor nurse. My surgeon told me I need to to change jobs like to QC in the hospital or Home Health. I am worried I will never heal.
