I am having ulcerative colitis since end 2006 and once given predinisone in July 2011. My symptoms were off for 2 months and again slowly my UC has come back. I am having Mesacol od 2 tabs once in a day, entofoam enema at night and B folcin tablet. I have blood clots in stool at times and bleeding two times in last week . Am I in the right treatment ?

Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
Yes, you are in the right treatment.
Request your gastroenterologist for a review colonoscopy.
Biopsy if required.
Change of diet - to consume whatever suits- stop whatever does not; there is no fast rule.
Repeated tests may come up with some diagnosis which was hidden in the past so remember - review is very important.
