Hi,
I understand your query.
Poly cystic ovaries is a condition where release of mature ovum from ovaries during menstrual cycle is affected. As a result- the partially matured ovum collect in ovary, giving a poly cystic look. Thus there is no ovulation & so pregnancy is difficult . still many patients do conceive after methodical management of the condition, which involves-
- Investigations like USG abdomen, ovulation study,
insulin resistance test
- Reduction of weight by low caloric diet & regular exercises.
-Tab glyciphase ( dose decided after physical examination by
endocrinologist)
-
Clomiphene citrate monthly course to stimulate maturity of ovum& ovulation/ Ing Pubergen as per need.-- for 6 months minimum
- Laperoscopic surgery for ovaran drilling.
* If every thing of above fails, IVF (
In vitro fertilization)is the treatment with ovum donation if needful.( IUI is
intrauterine insemination when there is problem of semen production/ deposition in vagina by normal intercourse)
Please don't worry, whatever be the problem, modern medical science offers many options & conception is possible in most of the cases.
Thanks.
