Is Pregnancy Possible After A Protected Intercourse?
Hi I am 24.I had my periods on 6th may.but I didn t get my periods yet.I don t hav any pregnancy symptoms at all.and I had protected sex.is it possible that I am pregnant. I didn t do a pregnancy test yet.my husband is not ready,if I am pregnant and I do not want it what should I do? Is it safe to abort your first child? Does it have any consequences? Pls help
Hi. I've gone through your query. I can understand your anxiety.
You can wait for 10days of missed periods (maximum 45days since last menstrual cycle) to do HPT ( as you haven't mentioned the method of safe sex). If the test result is positive & if you are not ready for the baby you can go ahead with early abortion medications after consulting a gynaecologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care.
Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya V, General and family physician.
