Is Pregnancy Possible After Non-penetrative Sexual Activity?
My boyfriend and I were kind of fooling around and I got cum on my hand (no sex and penis near the vagina stuff) Maybe 30 mins later I put my hands on the outside of my vagina. I got my period maybe 3 days later... It s been about a month and a half since that period and although I dont normally have regular periods I m still a bit worried. Could I be pregnant?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Alma Neço's Response
Hello dear, Thank you for writing.
In my opinion, pregnancy in your case is highly unlikely.
First, there was no penetration, which is the natural effective way of transporting the sperm cells near the ovum (egg).
Second, you periods three days later reveal the end of the lifespan of your monthly ovum. The sperm cells can survive up to 72 hours in the genital tract of the female. Therefore, even if there was any chance for the pregnancy, the fact that you had your period 3 days after, is indicative that fertilisation didn't happen.
Anyway, I would suggest a consult with your ob-gyn specialist for the irregular menstrual cycle.
I hope this helped. For any other questions or queries do not hesitate to contact me. All the best, Dr. Alma
