Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Getting Periods?

hello doctor.
if I had unprotected sex on 14th of july and then again on 16th of july.but on 18th of july I got my periods. is there any chance for becoming pregnant & after how many days should I check wid home pregnancy test kit for correct answer?

Hi welcome to health care magic..

If after unprotected intercourse , next period is delayed than pregnancy can be ruled out ....

If conception occured, secretion of beta HCG can be there ....
in pregnancy test hcg estimation is done ...

Two methods there ...
1.Blood HCG estimation by ELISA or RIA.....
(positive 3 week after last LMP)
2.Urinary HCG estimation by card test
(Positive 5 week after last LMP)

If these test positive pregnancy along with that confirmed by USG examination...
