Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Negative Pregnancy Test Results?
hi I wanted to ask, I had an unprotected sex on the 12/08 and the following day I felt the cramps and breast tenderness, I did pregnancy test after a week at home it came out negative. could I really be pregnant? I am supposed to start my periods on the 30th of this month.
So, you may be pregnant. The pregnancy test cannot show the right answer if you do them one week after sex. Thay can show you the answer at least 3 weeks after the intercourse (sex). The reason is because what they actually catch with your urine is a mediator that in case of pregancy need at least 2-3 weeks to be produced. I would suggest (if you want to know the answer as soon as possible) make an intravaginal ultrasound. This is performed by a gynecologist and is much safier to provide the correct answer.
I wish you good luck and all the best.
Kind Regards, Dr. Eni Manoku
