Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Negative Pregnancy Test Results?

hi, I m 19 yrs old female. I had unprotected sex with my bf on aug 13, took Ipill 2 hrs after, had period on aug 17. it lasted for 4- 5 days. it s 27 September but I still didn t have my period, it has passed 10 days!!! I ve done a pregnancy test through pregnancy kit and it says negative. what should I do? am I pregnant? or there s any other probs?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If you have periods 4 days after the unprotected six this means there is no pregnancy from that act. Then the test looks very right and you probably do not have any pregnancy. Menstruation can get late for many reasons but in the above circumstances it's very unlikely that you would have pregnancy. I would suggest you to wait more few days, if you still didn't get your periods you should do the test again.
