Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Protected Intercourse?

i am on birth control. my boyfriend and i had sex about 7-8 days ago.. we used a condom and he did not ejaculate. there were a few short minutes that he didnt have a condom on and his penis was near my vagina. i did miss a pill a few days prior to sex.. but since it was protected and he didnt ejaculate i cant be pregnant right? and is there any possible way since i missed the pill entirely that it will mess with my period?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

There is a minor possibility of pregnancy even after taking emergency pills or an oral contraceptive. Best is to get a urine pregnancy test to confirm. Urine pregnancy test comes positive by one-week of conception. If any further doubts meet a gynecologist. Ultrasound scan of abdomen gives a confirmatory diagnosis as to whether you are pregnant or not.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sanjay Kini
