Hello,
If you had unprotected sex and took emergency
contraceptive pills within 72 hours of unprotected sex then you shouldn't get pregnant. However, emergency contraceptive pill is a one time pill. Its efficacy may decrease if not taken as per instruction. If you are not planning for a baby, you should be in regular CP or implants. In case you do not get periods in time, you should get
pregnancy test done with the first morning mid stream urine.
If test is positive, get clinically examined by a GP. You will be accordingly managed. If pregnancy test is negative and USG also confirms it then delayed menses can occur due to
anemia,
hormonal problems, PCOS, poor general health condition, etc. You will be treated accordingly. Contraceptive pills interferes with the hormonal balance of the body, hence you may experience
irregular periods, scanty periods, spotting or sometimes even heavy bleeding. Do not stress, take home made food & take adequate rest.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
