General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
I have gone through your question and understand your concern. I-pill or any other emergency contraceptive medication will be effective only if taken within 48 hrs of unprotected sex. After 48 hrs the chances of pregnancy increases by 10 folds and emergency contraceptives are not be useful in such circumstances.
Always remember to have protected sex and avoid using emergency contraceptive pills, if possible use regular contraceptive medication once prescribed by a doctor or use protection to avoid chances of pregnancy.
I hope your concern is answered. Thank you.
