Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking Idoz 72 Post Unprotected Sex?
Hi doc!! We had unprotected sex exactly 13 days from the start of my period. My regular cycle is from the 4-6th of every month. But because I used an emergency contraceptive I got them again on the 21st of that month. So from the start of that cycle we had sex after 13 days days. I took idoz 72 within 33 hrs. It s been more than 10 days and I still haven t got my periods. Are there chances I could be pregnant?

So wait for few days and then proceed to confirm pregnancy.
Idoz 72, containing 1.5 mg of synthetic progestin, Levonorgestrel.
It is intended for the following uses:
1. Unplanned intercourse in couples that are steady or married;
2. Failed measures of contraception
3. In sexual abuse, rape or incest;
For this emergency contraception to be effective, it is necessary to take one 1.5 mg pill of Levonorgestrel on a single day and within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse.
Best results are seen when Unwanted 72 is taken quickly, within 72 hours of an event (95 % effective
)
If a woman should vomit after taking Unwanted 72, it is recommended to repeat the one time dose for effectiveness in pregnancy prevention under the direction of a healthcare provider.
So it may be ineffective in 5%.
So please check pregnancy test:
1. Blood HCG level today only. It is very sensitive.
2. Urine pregnancy test: after 7- 8 days
If pregnancy test is positive and you do not want
You can use pregout abortion kit: it contain five tablet-Mifepristone 600 mg (One tablet) take orally.
After 24 hr of oral tablet, put four tablet of misoprostol in to vagina.
With in half an hour of punting tablet in to vagiana , bleeding will come out and that is conception product/embryo.
